So I recently bought an ASUS VG248QE monitor that\'s supposed to support 144Hz. However, I have been using an HDMI cable and haven\'t been able to get above about 87Hz using Intel\'s graphic settings. I am wondering if I can even get 144Hz/120Hz at all with my current setup. I use the Dell Inspiron 17 7000 series, which does not have a DVI port or a DisplayPort on it. I have also updated all of my drivers. I noticed some people saying that HDMI will work with 120Hz, which I would be willing to settle for, but I can\'t get above 87Hz without an \"Out Of Range\" error on the monitor. I\'m not sure what to do, do I just need a new computer with a DVI port or DisplayPort?
 
Please help.
